Welcome to the Computer Science Department course registration page.

Due to high enrollment pressures in our courses, the Computer Science Department, in cooperation with the Registrar’s office, will be registering students in courses prior to college-wide registration. This is necessary in order to enable students to graduate on time. The process is as follows:

1. Each student will fill out a course preference questionnaire indicating in which courses the student would like to register. If space is available, the student will be registered prior to college-wide course registration. Please only indicate those courses in which you wish to register and complete.
2. After the questionnaire deadline has passed, the department will create registration lists for each course based on student preferences. If a course’s capacity meets the course’s registration demand, the department will register all students in the course.
3. If a course’s registration demand exceeds the course capacity, the department will register students in the categories listed below. The general rule is to give priority to students needing courses to graduate on time. If the department cannot register all students in a category, the department will randomly choose students to register from the category. In decreasing order of priority, the categories are:
   1. Senior concentrators that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the concentration.
   2. Junior concentrators that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the concentration.
   3. Sophomores that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the concentration.
   4. First year students that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the concentration.
   5. Senior minors that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the minor.
   6. Senior minors that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the minor.
   7. Junior minors that need the course to graduate with the minimum required number of courses for the minor.
4. Any seats remaining in courses after department registration will be available through the college-wide registration process.
